The ATV must be registered. if used on categorized roads designated for public traffic. Registration is a legal requirement that ensures vehicle compliance, valid insurance, and your safety. The ODES team handles all the paperwork for all customers, making the process quick and easy.

Off-road trails and terrains

Most organized off-road trails and terrains require the vehicle to be registered and insured. Check the specific location's requirements before you arrive.

Rules for riding ATVs on public roads

A registered ATV is allowed to participate in traffic, but there are certain restrictions and rules you must follow:

Required equipment

A driver of an ATV with L7e homologation is required by the laws of the Republic of Serbia to wear a protective helmet, while a user of an ATV with T3b homologation is not required to wear a protective helmet, but it is highly recommended that every user wear a protective helmet every time they use the vehicle.. The vehicle must have working lights (front, rear, and brake lights), mirrors, turn signals, and a horn.

Movement restrictions

ATV vehicles with the L7e homologation mark may be driven on highways and expressways, while vehicles with the T3b homologation mark are prohibited from being driven on highways and expressways.. On some local roads, ATVs may be prohibited; pay attention to traffic signs.

Passenger transport

Passenger transport is only permitted if the vehicle is homologated for it and has an appropriate passenger seat.

Speed

Obey the speed limits like any other vehicle. In residential areas, the maximum is 50 km/h; outside of residential areas, follow the posted limits.

Driving under the influence of alcohol and psychoactive substances

The same rules and laws apply to riding ATVs as to any other vehicle participating in public traffic. We strongly advise that when operating a motor vehicle, you be responsible for both yourself and others..

Penalties for non-compliance

Failure to comply with regulations for ATV registration and operation results in serious penalties:

Driving an unregistered vehicle

Monetary penalties are prescribed by law and depend on the severity of the offense committed..

Driving without a proper license

A fine of 10,000 to 30,000 RSD, a driving ban, and penalty points.

Riding without a helmet

Although wearing a helmet is not a legal requirement for ATVs classified under category T3b, we strongly recommend wearing one at all times. Quads classified under category L7e must be ridden with a helmet by law, and the fine for riding without a helmet in Serbia is 10,000 RSD.

Driving under the influence of alcohol and psychoactive substances

Penalties depend on the offense committed and range from 10,000 RSD to criminal liability, including the revocation of a driver's license.

Tips for Buying a Registrable ATV

If you plan to ride an ATV on public roads, pay attention to the following when buying:

Homologation for Serbia

By purchasing a vehicle from an ODES authorized dealer, you guarantee that the vehicle is homologated for the specified market and has all the necessary documentation.

Travel equipment

Check that the vehicle has all the equipment required for participation in traffic: lights, turn signals, mirrors, and a horn. ODES vehicles come fully equipped for traffic.

All ODES vehicles come with complete documentation provided by our team and are ready for registration.
